Am I the only guy on here sad enough to study the
Test Logs and Performance Reports each month
Has anyone really thought about what the figures
actually mean and how the Computer Computes them?
I have been studying my reports and over some time
now I can actually see how the figures could be
changed quite easily to make the report look
either good or bad, have any of you noticed this?
Another thing I have noticed is that VOSA's
Computer System decides which date range to select
when an NT orders the Performance Report. By
example my last report was over a three week
period and the Test Log showed that more failures
were selected than passes, which means that if up
to five days prior to the start of the report had
been selected my monthly figures would have been
significantly lower, as in this period of five
days prior to the report starting the vehicles
were all passes.
The monthly report prior to this also does not
reflect the vehicles not sampled this month, which
clearly shows to me now that the reports can be
adjusted by VOSA and their computer system to
reflect an image they want to show
But, no worries because my Computer skills will
with a bit of effort load the data into a
spreadsheet and then I can compare and adjust
figures to actually see what is going on
Anyone else have any views?
