Also: "Don't read any messages until March 9th"The phone call at 10:25am was a bit blooming late in telling us not to read our messages! Boss took the call and again was about to hang up when there was silience at other end and when message did start he didnt catch it all. I guessed what it would be about so called service desk listened to they're message and followed procedure using F1 recovery.

went wrong March1st, left last night all OK in this morning dead Siemens man came out we were his 3rd call out (11am) to replace the device, and he had 4 more to do , he blamed some download that night ?? was he right he might just be Our update downloaded inbetween tests sometime last week or the week before. We haven't left the device on overnight for ages. Came in this morning to find the AE in a bit of a panic as he only caught half the automated message & the VTS device wouldn't go through the startup procedure. I phoned the helpdesk in response to the error code on the startup screen & followed their procedure to install the quick-fix software patch to repair the update. The system was then working ok all day. I have been told there were a number of noticable changes to the program, though I haven't seen them yet - except the message showing the status of MOT Computerisation on the screen saver page... As detailed on here in the past, almost everytime an update is installed, the system experiences problems...

I have been told there were a number of noticable changes to the program, though I haven't seen them yet - except the message showing the status of MOT Computerisation on the screen saver page... 1) The RFR pages are slightly different, with the chosen RFR at the top of the screen instead of the bottom. 2) Quads and trikes now have their own section in the RFR's. 3) When you go into record the test results, where the cursor would normally be in the mileage box, it's now on a drop down box for Quads and Trikes. 4) The new section for testing under emergencies has been included, but I haven't got round to looking at it yet. 5) When you enter brake test results using Kerbside weight, (if you're ATL or there are no details in VSI) when you choose Kerbside from the drop down box, the old weight (from VSI) disappears. That's all I can see, unless I've forgotten any. Point 3 is a real pain in the hoop, I have to remember to Tab down instead of just typing in the mileage.
