How long is it taking the rest of you to catch up with entering the ET stuff? We have about 60 to do and it is an endless job! On average it is taking about 10 - 15 mins to enter each one. Worse thing is we are being asked all sorts of stupid questions as to:- engine No, 3 door 5 door?, auto man? etc.. How are we suposed to remember this Sh!t? I rekon VOSA or Semens should have to enter the data from the records we have kept during the ET. What do you think? Fred

I always write down in a notepad all the vehicle details before any test. eg:- Registration No Vauxhall Astra LS 1.4 16v 5dhm (5 door hatch manual) Mileage Full Vin Engine code if available If it's got ABS/Traction Control etc

How are we suposed to remember this Sh!t? Personaly I put in as much as I could ACCURATLEY. If there was too many variants still left then I aborted the VSI search and let the system decide for itself. Lets face it you put in the Reg and last six vin and it knows its a red Vauxhall Vectra 12/02/1999 Better in my mind to put in little than a lot of wrong guess's. Besides its quicker.......... ;D Graham

Let the NT conducting the test next year choose the correct VSI details (if the system isn't in ET at the time) During the current situation, we have been using the VSI option to get the brake weights, etc. When the vehicle has been correctly identified on the screen, we wrote the details on the VT40. ie make, model, body type, auto/manual, engine size, cc, fuel, etc as shown in the boxes on the VSI screen. Takes a little time to write out, but makes things much easier when it comes to Catch Up...
