Only computer in the office Ian. So much other stuff they could have taken but never.
Finally we got our phone call today (day 3) and we're not getting a replacement untill Friday. Week to wait oh what a surprise. Guy on phone said "that ok with you?" I said "no not really but guess I've no choice"
Vosa want a letter in writing as to what happened - police incident number -officer name - badge number and........................... explain what measures we'll take to prevent this happening again.

So as I have a few hours to waste I thought I would fill in the update pages received earlier in the week. Section 7 caught my eye.... Replacement VTS base unit £643.24 Some of the other prices are crazy, Keyboard at £130.11 !! - takew care with that cup of coffee.............

Haha I saw those the other week, Siemens are seriously having a laugh. The hardware for the base unit went out with the Ark, it's the kind of computer you'd buy at a boot sale for a few quid and don't get me started on the price of a keyboard. What planet do they think we all come from?

What planet do they think we all come from? Obviously Planet Zog were £1 (UK) == R10 (Rubix), and they must have priced up in Zog currency. Therefore a keyboard really costs £13.01 not £130.11 - about the sensible price for that keyboard. From memory, that would make a new mouse around £3.40 - fair price, (Cannot possibly be £34 for that cheap tacky mouse) and the base unit should be really £64.32 There again..........................

Yeah well we recieved the new unit 11am on friday but do not know how much it's going to cost us yet. Not that the price matters in least insurance will cover that I'm sure. Whats bothering us is the poor service we recieved, I mean 2 whole days went by before they phoned us back to confirm when we'd have a replacement sent. Guy came up from Birmingham with new one and said quite a few get stolen but no use to anyone because no way they can get into the system. I suppose the price of the keyboard etc includes a guy travelling a few hundred miles to fit it instead of us buying a cheap tesco one and fitting it ourselves
