Do Vosa think we have nothing better to do than sit sticking/stapling loads of "temporary" pages into the guides Dave

Ours is still sitting on the desk, not had time this week so far. With a bit of luck the boss will do it over the weekend.

In addition to a stapler or glue, you'll find that a hole-punch is also required to re-punch some of the pages that have their holes on the wrong edge!
PS I wonder how long 'temporary' really is ?

Just an observation if you read the infomation it states that you MAY print the pages out and insert them , it don't say you have to !

Just an observation if you read the infomation it states that you MAY print the pages out and insert them , it don't say you have to ! SN 1-2006 contained temporary pages which must be added to the paper copy of the manual. SN 6-2006 reports that it is advisable to print off copies of the updated pages for insertion into the manual - useful for when the VTS device is not accessible.

my mistake, just seems daft to say you may in one breath then you must in another, but then again common sense and vosa don't go together in the same sentance

We had our three month visit last Friday (the 13th ) the one you get when you've just started a new MOT station, our VE found that we'd been issued the wrong Tester's Manual as it didn't have the updates in it. He said it wasn't our fault and that we should use the version on the VTS device for reference until the temporary pages pack turns up, if the VTS device fails and we had a problem we'd possibly have to stop testing.
