What's the cause of the increase in fractured springs ? Is it the state of our roads - the lack of repair to pot-holes, etc or is it the poor quality of the steel used to produce the spring ?

Could this prob be down to the carataristics of the low profile tyres on the speed bumps and rough roads that are more common in this so called modern age.

You wanna check the math that go into design and functioning of coil springs, when you have understood that lot and the cost factors of manufacture, you will then understand why drivers on our roads have broken springs, ie. is it the roads, the drivers or the design of material composites used, or a combination of many factors?
