on my refresher course earlier this year vosa trainer said if it,s as white as the reversing light then fail other than that p&a simples

If its WHITE its a fail If it shows any bit of AMBER is a pass In my opinion it would be down to the NT discretion at the end of the day regards to the degree of amber color output weather to pass or fail or advise, how many times have you changed amber bulbs and found the new ones not much better or the same as the ones removed I can see were the trainer is coming from as we all know where the test is concerned if its got a bit of life left in(few flakes of color left on the bulb or discoloration of a lens) it its pass/advise

just curious as to how much white light would you allow from say a tail or stop lamp !!

based on the photgraph the indicator appears as white as the reverse lamp, so would be a fail. Dave P.S. I have been looking at the title of this thread , I think we have all been going down the wrong path with this! The title says; How amber is amber ;D So should be not be comparing amber with amber ;D
