Today I tested a Fiat Stilo I know but somebody has to do them ;D, well interestingly I had many advisories on this car and one important one being the offside front seat belt.
Before I go on I suppose I better explain why in the computerisation department I posted then , well I printed the VT30 with advisories and thought nothing about it.
Later in the day the car was returned to me from our workshop after some minor repairs, like headlamp aim. If you look on the noticeboard you will see that headlamp aim is listed as a minor item, and the other day I did retest a vehicle only with headlamp aim issues and minor items was selected and it passed through OK.
Anyway, today my Fiat when I entered test results did not list any of the manual advisories that I had previously put into the VTS device, which were previously printed on the VT30, so it is not user error. I thought I had made a mistake so tried again and no advisories were listed, so I made a reference to the last VT30 test number on the new test certificate, which when I went to print it came back NOT MINOR ITEM?
I knew the other day the other vehicle I did went through so I was wondering today why this car had these problems?
Anyway I entered test results as repaired at VTS, but no manual advisories recorded except the new note I made to reference the old VT30 and advisories.
How strange, I have only ever had a problem similar to this once before, and that was a corsa where entering test results would not log in so I ended up after ringing siemens cancelling any advisories, where siemens wanted me to re-enter them and I said no time is money, if the customer wants a copy we will photo copy them this time.
Anyone else had any strange problems with the VTS device recently?
