Hmmm I think I might have failed those. Assuming I noticed them. At this time of year the sun streaming through my workshop door shimes straight in my eyes so I keep thm closed most of the day.

To me and this is only my opinion as I have seen the suspension legs in place on the vehicle before they were removed, the drivers side spring seat was at the time I examined the car without jacking the vehicle up fouling the front tyre, which based on the condition of the spring seat in my opinion would not have had too long to go before final failure occured, therefore based on the Testing Guide I think a VE would have said 40 points for that side, then there is the nearside front, which was not fouling the tyre at the time I examined it, but all the same was excessively corroded, therefore only my opinion but a VE could have said 30 points for that spring seat, which means the NT would have been given 70 points and disqualified from testing, and based on my AE's previous disciplinary action if VOSA awarded the same points to him, then a very strong possibility that we would have all been out of a job now!! So whether one says I didn't see it for sunlight or not, I am sure a VE with his/her on would still see it , I mean I saw it in bright daylight , so I am assuming that the other NT does not get on well with my AE, or he has other motives because the lads at work tell me he does not use an assistant during the test and he does not jack up the vehices either, so I wonder at his other station how long it will actually be before VOSA decide enough is enough and yes I have been for-warned on this forum by members before about finding myself another job , so I do read and take on board what is said and I am thinking about something if I can get it off the ground will be a much better job and more rewarding, but I don't want to divulge just yet as I made this mistake some years ago on another forum when I advised somebody about agency testing, and he emailed me and thanked me for all the advice I gave him after he set himself up as an agency and now makes loads of money because of me , so I am not giving any info out ;D Dave

Try understanding this one then, I think my AE thinks I am in the wrong because at time of retest I failed them but the original NT who did the test missed them completely, not even an advise, however because my AE had to pay out for them to be replaced I think he thinks it's my fault because I would not pass them and hence why I am having problems getting my holiday pay out of him However VOSA would say well your boss is only an AE and the tester makes the decisions, at least in theory, but how many NT's out there would actually tell their bosses or AE's where to get off if they were pressured in some way to do what the AE wanted I mean not everyone in the scheme are like me ;D are they ;D, I would even tell VOSA where to get off if I didn't agree so my AE with me is on a hiding to nothing , I just fail them no questions asked ;D I would even send Stealth packing with his failed coil springs for not being in the buffers ;D ;D ;D, when I would pass and advise those ;D ;D ;D Dave
