Had a sales car come in for an mot, flew through apart from a bulge in the rear side wall tyre. On removal of tyre we have gained a pair of w/balance weight pliers. Prehaps it was sold on the vibration fault that must have been pressent.

We have slowly gained a collection of tools that we find under vehicles. Most are cheap quality, though Impact sockets seem to be the most popular, still attached to u-bolts & exhaust clamps!

Yanno, They had moved around and damaged the side wall to the extent in one place to cause a bulge. No air leak, just picked it up on the MOT.

I bet you were wondering what the noise was when you spun the wheel to check the wheel bearings.

Yes, only a loose noise spinning slowly.what it must have done at speed with regard to wheel balance.

We've just had cladding put up on our premises, every car that's come in has had small metal filings embedded in the tyres. They aren't big or sharp enough to damage or puncture the tyre, but make testing wheels and tyres really awkward. The boss has told the workmen to sweep them up but these filings get everywhere, I've been using riggers gloves to save my hands from being cut to pieces.

That is just a little scary. How could the driver not have noticed the vibrations that would have been caused by that heavy a weight flying around and unbalancing the tyres.
