I have just had my first sat experience too. Do we have to update the system afterwards like on emergency testing?

I have just had my first sat experience too. Do we have to update the system afterwards like on emergency testing? If you continue into the next day using SAT mode, then computerisation will ask for a code? Be interesting what response you get from that and what action you are told to take? let us know Dave

Had this happen again this week. Printed off two copies as instructed but no messages or even an incident report. Waited two days then registered the car again for a full MOT. Noticed that a slot had been lost but what are you supposed to do. As the original test had been a fail I tried to fast track it but no record of the vehicles details or my original registration had been logged.....................

With reference to flashgordon1 post it sounds like the infomation stored on your vts device regarding that test has not been uploaded on to central services system, thats assuming that period of sat had ended. It may be a good idea to find out if this has taken place,as its seimens job to extract the info from the vts device once normal operations return

See you can't say I didn't tell you so ;D However, normal practice with SAT is to leave the VTS base unit on overnight then the system will automatically upload to Siemens overnight Dave

You are able to to confirm that any tests carried out under sat have been received at central services on your vts device,After returning to normal test mode after sat has ended all the info you have input into the vts device during sat will be uploaded to central services after 1 full day of testing in normal mode, this normally takes place at 6.00pm. You proberly wont recieve any messages at all during or ending in sat if central services have captured all info,if this fails the contact centre will contact you I have come across instances where it has taken several days for a test to transmit to central services. They is no need to do any catch up or follow up after sat , At this present time i have a fiat which failed under sat yesterday.!went to retest it today but it just spat it out as computerisation had returned to normal, due to this i rang seimens and asked if i could switch the vts device back into sat but the answer was no,i would have to wait until the 1st test had been logged at central services ,not much good when a customer wants his car back, Iwill try to retest it tuesday and see what happens

Whats been happening to me and again today I will register a car for test with everything operating as it should then when I start to input test results I find the vts has gone into sat mode. Again today I finished the test and printed off the two copies but I have doubts if this is recorded with central services. I feel there is a problem here but as you say nitros its better than emergency testing.............

I think seimens need to get an engineer out or give you bit more support instead of them blaming the phone line.its going into sat mode coz its detected a communication fault at the other end on a another computer or its your base unit. Keep us informed
