vehicles presented for mot test that have no front or rear position lamps working, which are permanently not working, i.e. no fuse fitted, as a recent VOSA trainer said was OK, I disputed because a tester would not know this? Should be a Pass and Advise, but also take into consideration what the TM advises in the information column, which says something like, where no front or rear position lamps are fitted there is no requirement to fit any other lamps, read it through as the vehicle may not require any other lamps to work either?

if a vehicle is presented for test with no head lamps and presenter can prove they are for daytime use only it is a pass and just issue a vt32 only for daytine use
