Hi Anyone else amazed by the recent article in Matters of Testing regarding the failure criteria for brake discs. That is to say the deciding factor could well be that the disc is in such poor condition that you refuse to carry out a performance test. With such a vital safety critical item as discs I think it is a very bad idea to imply that the only way we should be failing them is if we think that carrying out a brake test will result in major damage or failure of a component. I know that we can always pass and advise but in the real world how many customers see past the VT20. I would welcome any comments.
