Hey, I have some registration plates on my car that I got last winter. The plates are just standard ones, they don't have a weird font on them or any football club emblems or anything like that. There just standard plates with a boarder round them. The thing that worries me is that they don't have were they were made at the bottom in the centre. For example "Halfords" In small writing.
is this a problem for a MOT or are they totally road legal? I've been told different things, one of my friends said it became a requirement from May this year.
Thanks.

There has been much confusion over number plates, but has all been sorted out now. The result is that so long as they are white background with black letters front, and yellow background with black letters rear, using the normal standard font sizes, ie as would be fitted when leaving the dealership on a new vehicle, then you should be OK. I could go into finer detail, but if your plates are standard then you should be OK
