can anyone help me out with a little confusion, who pays the fee, trainee or nominee as the guy who in nominating me said i must pay for the test, pay him a fee and also compensate him for the lost Mot's as i am using the pit for exam.

there is no cost for ntta test its taken at a vosa site. the three day course is also free i suppose the only loss would be the use of a garages facilities when taking your demo test as this is a full demo mot in front of the vosa tester

thanks every one for your replies, what then is the £330 fee for. and what would be a reasonable charge to use the garage facilities as my VTS has a rather large amount in mind. Also i would like to do the motorcycle course at the same garage but i have never worked on one in this or any other motorcycle garage, i own a motorcycle that i service, maintain and pre mot myself so i have good knowledge of the procedures but is this enough.

its all free sounds like ur boss is trying to pull a fast 1 on u
ive never heard of a test station being charged anything for sending someone on ntt or 3 day course
if anything when u pass he should put your wages up n give u a pat on the back the worst he is going to loose is the work u could be doing while ur on the 3 day course but the extra work u bring in by doing mot's (fail work) should soon re pay him

there is a price for nominating an nt throught the course and it is £330 - perhap a while ago - now its £385 - have seen this in black and white - cost to the garage but most swallow it as it in minor compared to the income of a tester - look it up in the vts guide books
