We have had a run of our testers entering wrong details (mileage, fuel type etc). We always contact our area office when we cannot put it right ourselves, fax them the logbook and a letter and they send replacement certificate in the post. But today the woman on the other end sounded so harassed and p....d off that I just did the bloke another test for free, just for a quiet life. Anyone else had the same problems..... and are all testers dyslexic?

The computer system is partly to blame for some errors.
There are many instances that once you proceed to the next step, you cannot go back to correct any errors.
For instance, if a failure item is missed off, you often only realise after the VT30 has been printed.
The scroll button on the mouse doesn't do our aged boss any favours either. There have been many time where he has converted petrol to diesels & vice-versa.

I come across this all the time with 9 testers,
only my area is not so helpfull ??
how can i test a vehicle then tell the customer to travel 20 miles to change the cert because the tester put the wrong fuel type ??
thing is what will the tax man say when you have paid for 10 tests but only have the money for 9 ??
make sure you keep a dairy of all these things ??
