We failed a car last Friday (30th Dec 2005) on exhaust emissions. The owner returned with it today (3rd Jan 2006) for us to do repairs & retest. The system allowed us to do a partial retest (minor items). Impressive or what Wonder if it would allow partial retests for VTSs that resume testing after shutting down for a fortnight's holiday ?

I thought any measurable items had to be full test ,Vehicle left station ? ,now you've got me puzzled Many people are confused over the terminology used and especially differentiating between partial retests & fast track retests. A vehicle that leaves the test station can have a partial retest if it ONLY fails on the minor items (see rear of VT30) AND returns for retesting on or before the end of the next working day. A fast track can be performed if no measurable results are required (ie RBT or emissions). As the above vehicle ONLY failed on emissions, AND it returned before the end of the next working day, then it is subject to a 'Partial Retest (Minor Items)'.
