Have you been presented with a list of items to recheck ? I haven't. www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/mottestersgarageowners/motcomputerisation/motcomputerisationvtsfaqs.htm#P164_16117" We don’t always know at the point of testing that the car is remaining on site for repairs - what will the computer do or will we have to do a full test for a rectification? You will have to enter the results of all tests after they have been completed. In the case of a vehicle which remains on site for repairs, you will re-register the vehicle after the repairs, the system will ask the tester what sort of test they wish to carry out, the tester will select retest, vehicle remained on site. The system will present the tester with a list of the items on which the vehicle failed, the tester will confirm the items have been rectified and issue a certificate."

Errrrmmmmm - nope
I also think there should be an option where it asks if any advisory items have been rectified, and if not automatically reprint an advisory sheet.

Errrrmmmmm - nope I also think there should be an option where it asks if any advisory items have been rectified, and if not automatically reprint an advisory sheet. Advisory items are a pain with the computerisation system. Picture a vehicle failing on a few items, but the advisory is a long list... If the repairs are done at the VTS, the advisories will have to be re-entered to be printed with the VT20. If the vehicle leaves the premises, and returns for a minor item retest, then the advisories will have to be re-entered to be printed with the VT20. If the vehicle leaves & comes back after the next working day, or failed on non-minor items, then a full retest is done, and the advisories have to be re-entered again. Of course some advisories may have progressed into Failure items when the vehicle returns for retesting. At a partial retest, should the advisory items be rechecked ? What do you think ?
