Why do many car drivers insist on using their interior mirror as a mounting point for numerous ornaments ?
I used to take these objects off during the test, but now leave them there & issue a VT30.
The customers never seemed to grasp of the hazard that their pine tree or (un)lucky dice can be...
I try to get them to picture an old dear or a little toddler steping out infront of them. With a clear screen they would be aware of the danger, but obstructed - the pedestrians stand no chance.

If a car fails on a light and the smelly hanging from the mirror then I will do the repairs and have a fail/pass on the vehicle.

If a car fails on a light and the smelly hanging from the mirror then I will do the repairs and have a fail/pass on the vehicle. The 'fail / quick repair / pass' routine used to work quite well, but computerisation has caused a problem here. Assuming a vehicle has an unexpired VT20 in force, you only get the option to post date the new one when doing a full test. The post dating facility is not availible with any of the short retest options. If any of you bods know better, please correct me?
