The lower ball joints on the Renault Trafic and Vauxhall Vivaro vans are prone for excessive play. The Laguna II uses similar design wishbones, and I've failed plenty of those. Another fault on the Laguna II is the rear axle bushes, I normally realise there's a problem with them as I drive over the brake rollers on the way in to the workshop, any knocks and you can be sure the bushes are split or have loads of play. I failed one today on an 03 plate Laguna II Estate with 18k on the clock! The customer agreed there was a bad knock on the rear suspension so he's off to Renault's on Monday to get it done before his warranty runs out

Aparently the rear subframe bushes on late Mondeo's are a weakness. I havent failed one yet, althiugh I have beeen told that when you change them the new bush's have to be "lock Tight'd" (Bush & Bearing Fit) in place & left 24 hours.
Cheers!

Failed loads and advised one this week, when they go, they really go. The subframe sits on the metal projections that are part of the rear strut. I've only replaced one myself about 8 or 9 months ago when the bushes weren't available, you had to buy the complete subframe from Fords which was about £200 ish. When we phoned for price and availability from Quickco, the company held 200+ in stock. We use powerflex bushes from here. www.rwtsuspensionsolutions.co.uk/index.htm
