Latest info from Gov regarding the advisory items we keep writing out at each test.TESTING DIRECTIVE ADVISORY PERIOD TO CONTINUE Legislation to implement the 2010/48 Testing Directive changes will not be in place for this year. The advisory period for these items will therefore remain in place. Vehicle presenters will be advised on any defects found on these items by having their test cards annotated with any defect details. On 1 October, up-to-date versions of each inspection manual will be available at www.vosa.gov.uk/vehicle-testing-manuals-and-guides with the directive (advisory) reasons for failure shown in blue font.
