My rear door handles have been removed and smoothed so this will obviously fail the next mot, correct? What happens if i remove rear seats and seats belts so in theory they are not being used, will it then pass?

Well no not really. The rear doors handles don't have to be there, but by some other means the rear doors must be able to be opened from the relavent control in each case, so you might have remote door opening and as long as that opens the doors and they close securely that will do fine for the mot test. Removing the rear seats will not get you out of trouble with the mot test as far as the doors are concerned. Now if the modification is permanent in your view, then to make it permanent you must fill the door apeture so that it is permanent then your car will pass the mot test. Daveg

Ok i thought as much,i was thinking of installing some door poppers anyway. So what you mean by filling door apetures is make it a 3-door?
