Hi all Does anyone know if we need to use VT29 Checklist or can we still use the old checklist on VT40 for failures ?

Interestingly when I initially registered my first vehicle today, knowing about the changes, but really knowing what to expect, when I got to the print screen the message at the bottom advised about going to Forms and printing this VT29? I asked myself, what is a V29? I printed as normal and out came a form with details printed on it that are normally printed on the VT40, so I was confused? I went into other functions and went to print another VT40, but what happend was that another print was duplicated of the last print I did when I registered the vehicle? So in conclusion when you register the vehicle for test and press print, the page that is printed is the V29. Going into other functions can print another VT29 so long as a vehicle is registered, that's provided you don't print another from the screen when you initially register the vehicle ;D I'll bet you ain't printed off ample Emergency Test Test Documents as previously advised in a recent email? If a VOSA VE walks through our door to check the documents, they are all printed and filed ready ;D, and all coloured documents removed ;D Edited to add, yes you can use up your old stock of VT40's ;D Dave

I could be wrong, but I think that the reason VOSA want the forms in manual print in the trays is for, or should I say if computerisation fails and then manual mot testing can continue. Dave

You can print off a VT29, and use that or use up your half million old VT40 sheets. Who would have thunk it, mot testers getting to use free will and choice? ;D

hi everybody, new here and like some others i was confused when i first registered a vehicle for test this week,no check list just vehicle details and the section for brake readings,is it definately ok to use up the old vt40 sheets for listing rfr's or do we use the blank space on the new sheet or print the plain paper checklist(vt29 i think) from the forms section, thanks in advance for any replies

when we print off the vt40 new style, vts device says return to menu then we take the form put it in the front of the printer upside down or which ever way it is and then go to forms and print the check sheet on the reverse side so only x1 peice of paper used and all info you need is there to hand no worries

TOTALLY AGREE IF VOSA WANTED THEM THAT MUCH IT WOULD BE MANDATORY, IVE NOT USED THE CHECKLIST ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE OLD VT40S FOR YEARS AND VOSA NEVER HIGHLIGHTED IT AS A NON COMPLIANCE ON VISITS PLUS I THINK WORD HAS GOT ROUND THAT NOT ALL NT USE IT ANYWAY,SO WHY WASTE INK AND PAPER AND TIME THATS MY THINKING ANYWAY HOWEVER I DO HAVE A GOOD MEMORY
