The seatbelts on the Securon website would, for the greater part, pass & advise our MOT test. Securon are, probably correctly, trying to get us to replace dodgy belts and fittings and therefore boost their sales. Or am I being too cynical?
Oh, and Daveg, I stand by my sweeping generalisation about "normal sane people" So don't get me started about "dangerous roads" or "dangerous conditions" neither of which exist. But that is for another thread or even another forum.
Love you all, really.

You know chaps and chapeses, I'm a new tester (Dec 2012) I wonder what I've let myself in for here. Every thread is getting into an I'm better than you thread. Someone knows more than someone or is more experianced than someone. For goodness sake do your mum's know your'e out! I come on here to broaden my knowledge and try to get on an even keel with the scheme in general. But I'm not posting on loads of queiries I have and day to day events as this attitude is pissing me off! Just remember everyone has to start somewhere that includes Daveg! Gotta go the nurse has realised Iv'e escaped! Good call, most try to keep things simple until the professor posts, then he unleashes his abundant knowledge and mostly upsets people, then when they respond he throws his dummy out We do try to keep it MOT related & helpful buddy

Very constructive and totally on topic (as normal) Daveg.
But I guess sarcasm is lost on the keyboard.

I believe the term is stress raiser. As a slightly different example you can get a piece of domestic window glass to bend slightly, but scribe a line down it with a "glass cutter" and bend it the same amount and PING, it cracks along the line.
